Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay hosted Dr Margaret Vickers at its members and supporters meeting on 6 June 2023.
Dr Vickers is a member of the Balmain Institute and Inner West Community Energy, and she spoke with the meeting about renewable energy solutions for our local area, in particular community batteries. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session.
Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay (CABCB) is a non-partisan body of concerned citizens in the Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield LGAs of Sydney and the Reid federal electorate, on the traditional land of the Wangal people. Our goal is to inform and engage the local community about the worsening climate crisis and to influence business and governments to take strong and urgent climate action.
