Last Tuesday evening (April 22), CABCB held its Electrification Information Night at the Concord Oval Community Centre, in partnership with Canada Bay Council. Special guests were state MP Stephanie di Pasqua and local Mayor Michael Megna. Both gave excellent presentations on the importance of environmental action in the local area. As always, Stephanie spoke from the heart on the topic, while Michael listed the many achievements of the council. In particular, he confirmed that Canada Bay Council is in the process of banning gas connections in all new structures in the LGA. This is a huge step forward, and CABCB congratulates him and his fellow councillors for making it happen.
The other speakers gave very informative presentations. Charli Rodrick explained how Solar Citizens runs its campaigns, while Piroska Bisets-Bullen outlined how Zapcat helps people electrify their homes. Ken outlined his journey to having an energy self-sufficient house.
