Thanks to everyone who helped put climate at the forefront of voters minds in Reid!
Our group handed out hundreds of flyers every day at pre-polling, and were at 19 polling station on election day (along with 12 crewed by GetUp! ), reaching thousands of voters.
We made a big difference to the voting in our marginal seat!
The elected MP, Sally Sitou, and all the other parties certainly noticed the number of people engaging with us and how important climate change was in deciding their vote.
Of course, the work does not stop here. After a short rest, we’ll be meeting again on Tues June 14th to plan our next steps.
