Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay hosted Dr Jenny Newell at the first of its speakers to members and supporters for 2024 online on March 26. Dr Newell is the Curator for Climate Change at the Australian Museum, Sydney, and spoke about the climate-related programs and exhibitions run at the Museum, as well as the forthcoming Climate Action Week Sydney. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session.
Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay (CABCB) is a non-partisan body of concerned citizens in the Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield LGAs of Sydney and the Reid federal electorate, on the traditional land of the Wangal people. Our goal is to inform and engage the local community about the worsening climate crisis and to influence business and governments to take strong and urgent climate action.
