Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay hosted Dr Brad Smith, Policy and Advocacy Director, Nature Conservation Council of NSW at its members and supporters Zoom meeting on Tuesday 18 October 2022. Brad gave a highly informative talk about the role of the NCC and the political landscape in New South Wales with regard to climate policy in the lead-up to the state election in March 2023. The event concluded with a Q&A session.
Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay (CABCB) is a non-partisan body of concerned citizens in the Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield LGAs of Sydney and the Reid federal electorate, on the traditional land of the Wangal people. Our goal is to inform and engage the local community about the worsening climate crisis and to influence business and governments to take strong and urgent climate action.
