“I would much prefer not to be a placard-carrying conservationist. My life is the natural world. But I can’t not carry a placard if I see what’s happening.”
Sir David Attenborough
We welcome anyone in our area to take action on climate change. You can get involved in our activities and events in whatever way you feel comfortable.
The two most important things you can do are to talk about climate change with your friends / family / workmates, and to vote for candidates with strong climate action policies.
Sign up for our e-newsletter
Add your name to our mailing list (click below). We’ll email you about every 2 weeks with climate news and information about what we’re doing locally.
(Note: after signing up, if you don’t receive our emails, check they’re not going to your Junk folder.)
Come to our meetings
We currently hold meetings once a month on Tuesday nights either on Zoom or in person (at the Burwood Community Hub behind the Library). Often we invite guest speakers. Keep an eye on our Events calendar or our newsletter.
Become a member!
If you agree to our vision and values, and want to be regularly involved, you can apply to become a formal member of our incorporated association. You don’t need to be a member just to come along and support us, but active supporters are encouraged to become members.
Become a member for only $10 per year (regular) or $5 (concession). As well as supporting us financially, this gives you the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting and to stand for a place on our Committee.
To apply, download our membership application form (below). Email the completed form to us or bring it in person to a meeting. You’ll also need to pay the membership fee.
