Come to the Concord Farmers Market in Cintra Park on Sunday morning December 1 where Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay will be giving a practical demonstration of induction cooking.
Induction cooking is a method by which food normally cooked with gas is cooked via electric means. Electric induction cooktops are fast, safe, and the food tastes just as good.
We’ll be cooking vegetarian sausages and other goodies on our induction cooktop. And what’s more, the cooktop will be powered by electricity generated by a charged-up electric vehicle! This uses a process called V2L (vehicle to load).
What has this all to do with climate action? Plenty. Replacing gas cooking with electricity generated from renewable sources is one important way we can reduce our CO2 emissions and put the brake on global heating.
Join us at Cintra Park this Sunday! (And of course it’s free.)
Our thanks to City of Canada Bay for their support.
