Tuesday 19th November (5:30 – 7:30 pm): Designing Climate Policy for Australia

For those wanting to learn more about how Australia can develop a viable climate policy, UTS4 Climate is organising a presentation entitled Designing Climate Policy for Australia. The keynote speaker is Dr Martin Parkinson, who was Secretary of the Treasury under Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott, then Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet under Tony Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull and Scott Morrison. He is joined by Bob Carr and Marian Wilkinson. The presentation is on Tuesday 19th November, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Great Hall at UTS.


Thursday 21st November (5:30 – 7:30 pm): Book Launch: Superpower – Australia’s Low-Carbon Opportunity

UTS4 Climate is organising a second presentation this month, featuring the acclaimed economist Ross Garnaut, who has just published a book entitled Superpower: Australia’s Low Carbon Opportunity. He is joined by Bob Carr and Verity Firth. The presentation is on Thursday 21st November, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Balcony Room at UTS.


Thursday 28th November (6:30 – 8:00 pm): Introduction to Solar and Batteries

A free information session on Introduction to Solar and Batteries, run by the City of Canada Bay and the Australian Energy Foundation. The presentation is on Thursday 28th November, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Five Dock Library (4-12 Garfield St Five Dock).


Saturday 7th December (time to be announced): Climate Action Social

Come and enjoy a few drinks, relevant short films and a brief celebration of the Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay group achievements this year. Opportunity for letter writing for those inclined. Bring your own drinks and a plate of food. Venue and time to be announced.


Saturday and Sunday 7th – 8th December (8:30 am – 5:30 pm): Towards 2022: Ideas for Labor and Australia

Towards 2022: Ideas for Labor and Australia – join us to continue the fight for a fairer Australia. Cost for Sunday only is $53.84 and the whole weekend $120. Event is at 37 Reservoir Street Surry Hills from 8:30 am.
